PF Mayfly nymph

Imitation of bigger spring’s mayfly nymph wherein I have used for the body a strip from the pheasant primary or secondary wing feather. The preparation of such strip has been shown in the pictures below.

Materials:

Hook: no. 8-12

Bead: copper 3.3 – 3.8mm

Thread: UNI 8/0 Tan

Tail & hackle: gray partridge feather

Underbody: Adhesive Lead Foil (Veniard) + thread

Body: strip from pheasant primary or secondary wing feather + clear Veniard glue

Collar: Ice Dub – UV Tan
