Each of us has met on the river (in particular in late autumn or in winter) situation when the fish are taking something from the surface. In general these are micro flies called midges.
Body of such flies can be made from a feather’s barb or even a tying thread.
In presented fly I have used a twisted CdC feather, which gives a great flotation and a white CdC wing for great visibility – unfortunately my eyes are not so good.
Materials:
Hook: Varivas 2200BL no.24
Thread: Veevus 16/0
Body: twisted gray CdC
Wing: white CdC
